Would you consider undertaking upholstering your own furniture? Linda, of the blog My Crafty Home Life, does her own upholstery and is showing readers how it's done. I'm so impressed by her level of knowledge and ability. She is basically teaching upholstery for beginners on her blog. She's started with necessary tools and goes on to tell her readers in detail and with amazing pictures everything they need to know to upholster furniture. She also has included a chart showing how much fabric is needed for specific upholstery jobs. I consider myself only mildly crafty, so I don't know that I would ever attempt this type of project. I still find reading about it fascinating. Check it out here.

I have already asked her for tips regarding the ridiculous looking chairs I took a crack at reupholstering. It was a giant fail but maybe next time.
