Abstract Artist Charlotte Faust

3.28.2012

I'm wondering how I ever discovered anything new before Pinterest.  I've featured artist Kerry Steele before.  I admire her work and her taste.  She pins the most amazing art onto her Wishlist board.  That's how I learned about Charlotte Faust.  I emailed Charlotte and she sent me the images above.  Her incredibly gorgeous work can be found at Hunter Kirkland Contemporary in Santa Fe, Blueprint in Dallas, and Anne Irwin Fine Art in Atlanta.

All of them are beautiful, but my favorites are the first two.  I like the inclusion of the pink and red.  Do you have favorites here?

I love the first one. I think it is that the pinkish reds balance out everything else and the brushstrokes are short and edgy that holds the appeal for me.

I would happily take any and all.

Thanks so much for stopping by La Lamp Shade!

They are all stunning. the color is wonderful. Have you ever tried painting an abstract piece? it looks so simple. But, it sure isn't.
Cheers!,

I have tried it, and it was a huge fail. I'm so impressed by those who can do it well! I surely can't!
