Blue and White Monday -- Choose a Foyer

4.16.2012

One, Ashley Whittaker

Two, Mary McDonald

Three, Danika Herrick

Four, Ralph Lauren Ad

Five, Mary McDonald

Six, Carolyne Roehm

Seven, Mark Sikes

Eight, from New York Apartments

Nine, Kirsten Fitzgibbons and Kelli Ford

For the next several Mondays, I'm going to post different images of a room (foyers here) with blue and white, and I'd love you to vote for your favorite.  I thought it would be fun to share all the winning rooms in one post afterwards.  Please take just a second and vote.  If you're feeling especially generous, please comment (love comments!) and share what you prefer and why.  And if you know who designed 3 or 4, please tell me.  I'd so appreciate your input.  I'm excited to see if there's any consensus anywhere, and my new poll widget is kind of fun!

Nobody does blue and white better than Carolyne Roehm. Well.....Diamond Buratta is right up there, but they aren't one of your choices!

You are right, Linda! I'll have to use a Diamond Baratta image next week! Jennifer

I love every single one, but this Mary McDonald is amazing! Vermillion curtains are my next purchase.

I had to go with three!! Chiang Mai and the red mirror! It was tough but Chiang won as always!

I'd love to see something mixing picture #3 and #9 using the wallpaper featured in this pic I saw at Nuevo Estilo Magazine:

I voted for #1. I think it is the most "do-able" in my life and I love lilies!

#3 is Danika Herrick of Gorgeous Shiny Things and #4 is a Ralph Lauren ad for the leopard carpet.

I chose #1 for it's warmth but it was a tough decision because I loved #6 too!

Thank you, Beth, it was too late last night when I wrote the post, or I would have just asked you! I knew you'd know ; )

I am partial to blue hydrangeas, so I loved what Carolyne Roehm did w/ them a navy striped cloth. No one does it better than her.

#1 since it is the inspiration for my foyer.

#3. I'm a sucker for red anything - and that mirror against that wonderful wallpaper. I love blue and red.

I love the simplicity and understatement of number 1. It got my vote!
