Happy Sunday!

4.01.2012

So, have you had a chance to see the new issue of Adore?  Here's another image from the April/May issue.  Seriously, you should take a few and look through.  Everything in it is gorgeous, and I think the dining room feature is very helpful.  See it here.

Now, on to my new favorite look.  What do you think of the next four images?

If you've been to Chinoiserie Chic today, you'll see that I'm completely ripping her post.  It's April Fool's Day!  I totally respect that everyone has their own aesthetic, but I think I'm justified here.  It's just too out there to take seriously.  And if you read my blog you're not likely to be offended.  Thoughts?

Too funny! But I don't think all "aesthetics" are created equal - bad taste is bad taste.

My post should have said that everyone has a right to their own good or bad taste. : )

After all, there are obviously lots of people buying this stuff...

Touché! You got me. My eyes got really big and I actually said "Is she serious?" out loud. Very funny.

I was so surprised when I got the RH phone book in the mail. Having been in direct mail I can do the math on what it cost to photo, print, pay for the paper & then mail... Oye seemed like a lot of ego went into mailing a book & not to mention they have to support the inventory for the "Steam Punk" trend that may have peaked.... just saying. Love you & CC so obviously I love me some color. Please note - do not mean to come across as a hater just my humble opinion. Tomayto- tomato, potayto- potato... vanilla- vanilla....

Crips I did not even comment on your request.... got so caught up in the Nilly Vanilla stuff... Love me some leopard & zebra against bold color. A little goes along way in my humble opinion. Fine line on where it starts to look like Snooki... There I go name calling again....

So I didn't even understand how funny your comment was until my daughter started screaming and laughing when she read it. I didn't know who Snooki was (yay me!) but she got on Google images and now I get it. HA!

I had forgotten it was April Fool's Day, but I do read your blog frequently, and I never doubted for a second it was a joke :). Someone out there is buying it!
