Since Wednesday I've been sharing my photos from my recent trip to Mackinac Island. These are the last of my pictures from The Grand Hotel.

These are random photos of gorgeousness I took just walking around the island. I had never been to Michigan and I loved being there. The villages and towns on Lake Michigan are lovely. I will definitely go back as soon as possible. Happy Friday!

The chairs from the first photo need to make their way to my house! So much eye candy. It must have been hard to take it all in.
I spent my childhood Summers regularly visiting Mackinac Island...loved seeing this post...brought back many memories!

Oh my gosh, I love these pictures of the Grand Hotel...I guess Carleton Varney of Dorothy Draper & Co. fame is responsible for the interiors -- just fabulous. You have inspired me to look at more of his work. Love the Venetian and Asian touches -- really is reminiscent of the best of mid-century decor...Hope you had a wonderful time! : )
Thank you--there is nothing else like The Grand Hotel. We had so many lovely summers there with our family. My mother used to take me around and talk to me about why this was so special. I hope you had the Hot Fudge Ice Cream Ball--it is a classic! The Hot Fudge Sauce is from the L.S. Ayres Tea Room in Indianapolis.
I hope this is the first of many visits for you to Mackinac Island.
