Off Topic Tuesday -- Getting Ready for Spring

Winter's done a number on my skin.  Having the heater on constantly just doesn't work for me.  I'm seeing such dryness and some new fine lines.  I am a very low maintenance lady.  I believe it's my ADD.  I cannot spend time on facial creams/potions/serums or make-up application. Have you been seeing the Clarisonic everywhere, like I have?  I went to the mall Sunday before last and picked one up.  It just adds one minute to the day, so I'm willing to give it a try. And it's less expensive than lots of the lotions/potions/serums out there, too.  I chose the Mia.  I don't think all the bells and whistles on the more expensive options are necessary for me.  Do any of you have one?  What do you think?  I've been using mine for about a week and I'm seeing changes already.  It's too soon for me to make a recommendation, but I'll tell you what I'm thinking in a few weeks.

I also needed some wardrobe staples.  I like to buy things that I can wear year after year and aren't too trendy.  Like I said earlier, low maintenance.  I also mentioned having a 15 year old daughter, and I like to dress my age.  I love J. Crew for everyday.  They have options for my daughter's age and options for me.  I picked up the above and below during my recent trip to the mall.
This cardigan is on sale now.  The J. Crew photo isn't accurate for color, but mine is.

I got the above, too.  That lilac cardigan looks good with the blue and white stripe and the plain white shirt.

And this navy cardigan works with just about everything I have.  I need to get another before they're gone.

Are you a fan of the Liberty Shirt?  I think I'm now obsessed.  I have three new ones, one of which a cannot find a photo to share.  But, I can tell you they are so soft and work with everything.  My sister's has several from 5or 6 years ago that she still wears and they look fantastic.

I have this
And this.  LOVE them both.

That brings me to the matchstick cropped white jean.  I have to have white cropped jeans.  People here will start wearing them right after Easter.  I tried these on while I was at J. Crew, but they're a bit too low rise for me.  I was happy with every other aspect.  So, I'm on a quest for the perfect cropped white jeans.  If you know of something that fits the bill, please let me know.

These are the every day jeans I wear.  Except, I wear a shirt, and ballet flats instead of stilettos.  They need to make these in white and crop them at the ankle for summer.  If you possess any influence with this company please do your best to persuade them to give us white, cropped jeans in this fit.   That would pretty much take care of the bottom half of my uniform from late Spring all the way though the summer.  What about you?  Have you been doing any shopping in anticipation of the warmer weather?

I would wear every single item you have shown. I am on the hunt for some bargain pieces because I lost 15 lbs but I am hoping to lose a bit more. I like Talbot ankle jeans as they are too low in the rise but they aren't "mom jeans" either.
I have not tried the Clairsonic. I just use an exfoliating scrub and seabuckthorn oil or rose and jojoba oil on damp skin for dryness.

I always shop J Crew for staples. Last year I bought the linen shirt in the most beautiful shade of pink! Been using the Clarisonic for months now and love it!

Everything you picked is what I would wear as well. I like bold intense colors, but a crisp white shirt is a necessity! I absolutely LOVE my Clarisonic and use it everyday. It has changed the texture of my skin and deep cleans like nothing else I've ever used.
Have a great week, and good luck with the ORC!

Love Liberty shirts, I was about to buy the clarisonic after thinking about it for a while and was advised by two people who know a lot about skin to buy another one, so I did, waiting for it to arrive. I wish i could remember the name but I will definitely review it on my blog soon....I am known amongst my friends and family as a "cardigan queen" have them in every color and probably at least 4 in navy alone so you can imagine my feelings on cardigans:)

I like Joe's Jeans petite white jeans and skinny white jeans but my bargain find are Talbots petites (cropped, skinny and trouser style) and Banana Republic petites.
