Blue and White + TPP in House Beautiful -- and Sale!


If you don't have the June issue of House Beautiful, you are missing out.  Every HB issue is incredible -- I always anticipate enjoying the next issue, but this month's HB is particularly full of loveliness.  In addition to all this beauty, I'm thrilled to share that one of my blue and white Chinese vase prints is featured in this issue.  


On a whim, I opened TPP five years ago.  I had created prints for our house, and thoroughly enjoyed the process. Wanting to continue the fun, I spontaneously set up The Pink Pagoda, and opened shop.  Never would I have guessed that one of my prints would end up in one of my all time very favorite interior design magazines. This exciting happenstance is cause for a celebratory sale, and details follow the post. First, though, you should take a look at a bit of what's in HB's June issue.  There's much, much more, and it's all fantastic.

These two new amazing Christina Baker paintings were photographed hanging on a wall in Christina's studio before they were delivered recently to Bennet Galleries .  How I'd love to visit Christina's studio to see where all the magic takes place!  I can see that it's bright, clean, minimal, and sophisticated. Blue and White Monday: Curb Appeal

Gwyneth Paltrow's house via decorpad While interior design is a primary focus at TPP, I also love being charmed by a home's exterior.  Ever since I can remember, I've fixated on facades scrutinizing and analyzing them as I peer out a car window, go for a walk, or look at home magazines.  I'm noticing more and more front doors painted blue, and it's a trend I like a lot. 2014 Fall One Room Challenge || Final Week

Thank you for coming to see my completed entrance hall. I redesigned our very tired and lifeless entry for The One Room Challenge. You can catch up and see "before" shots  here .  It's been so much fun working with this space, and I'm thrilled with the results.  How exciting to get to share it with you today! Above and below is the view from the front door. These are the beyond breathtaking panels that Christina Baker painted for the entry.  I'm not sure if from the photos you can get a true understanding of the impact these panels create.  In person they're even more beautiful, and I'm wanting to spend lots of time on the settee enjoying the view. Christina was absolutely lovely to work with. Besides these to-die-for paintings I get to enjoy everyday, it was fantastic getting to know and work with her.
