Kelley Proxmire and Exuberant Color

5.01.2012

This room is reminiscent of my house growing up in that it's a sea of 18th Century mahogany.  Lots of brown, and lots of English.  That's why its fun for me to see these still traditional rooms with exuberant color, beautiful lucite and a sense of fun and whimsey.  Kelley Proxmire is very talented and diverse.  She also creates interiors with a more subtle palette.  I'll show you more soon.  Today I was in the mood for more color happiness.  What are your thoughts?  Could you live with all this color?

I think I could live with all of this color! Especially if I were back in Cleveland with it's looooong gray winter. This feels like the joy spectrum to me. I love the traditional Queen Anne chairs painted white. I'm debating that myself. Love this house!

I so could live with all this color ... but I have this man in my life, and I am not certain he could. So I have to be happy with bringing in small touches! These images are so fresh and beautiful!

Jennifer-
This post is so refreshing and beautiful! You and Beth are going to turn me into a chinoiserie great before it is over! I pinned some things you will love a few minutes ago.
My daughter would love all of the pink, and I love the green a yellow with some pink.
Happy Wednesday.
