Decorative Drapery Tape

Richard Keith Langhorn via Southern Accents 101 Beautiful Rooms.

I picked up this Southern Accents publication at the grocery store last night.  If it's Southern Accents how can I resist?  This room by Richard Keith Langhorn is gorgeous.  That custom rug is amazing.  And just look what the decorative tape does for the room!  My post yesterday discussed my interest in adding this detail to my family room for the One Room Challenge.  I think the one I showed yesterday is too solid.  The one below is better in that it's more subtle, but it's still not quite right.  The blue floral that I'm using for pillows is shown in a photo below and has a freshness that I'm missing in this tape.

This is the one I posted yesterday that's too solid for me.  I also want curves and not angles.

So, am I being too particular?  I need to get out today and see if I can find some other options.  I don't want to do this unless I'm completely happy with the choice.  It may be that it doesn't happen for a while.  I suppose I can always add it later.  I hope you're having a lovely weekend!  As for me, I'm busy One Room Challenging!

Crazy, but do you have any fabric, (I don't thin it would need to show the complete pattern), from the pillow fabric, would it be wide enough for trim. Not sure it's doable?

Robert Allen has a 1.75" classic scroll in Cornflower available at Joann; it looks a bit more sprightly than the ones you've tried so far. Though I may have screamed a little at the price -- $28.99 a yard? Really? Must be woven from the manes of unicorns...

Yeah, I'm starting to think....do I really need window treatment (my excuse because it may not happen before the end)? I love the second tape more than the first. I hope you hold out for what you love. It is too expensive to make a mistake. Paint is so much cheaper than fabric mistakes.

I am so glad you showed a closeup of the tape, I think the blue is off and that the litlte white in the tape is too stark next to your off white drapes, however I LOVE LOVE the new one....I really think its gorgeous. And the colors look very complimentary but bottom line...make sure you love what you are doing. We have all had "our costly mistakes" experiences..and the lesson learned is to really love and commit to what you are doing.
Best of luck today.....

I actually really like the trim with the darker royal blue background and the diamonds! I think it would be a nice contrast in the room and would add a pop to the drapes! Good luck in your search, can't wait to see how it ends up!

Trim would be fabulous! I am not sure I am going to be done in time either! I am trying to find fabric for slipcovers and it is proving to be a challenge, our fabric stores here are the pits! And online takes a while!

Good luck!
