One Room Challenge Week Two

my bookcase inspiration

bookcases before

the blue paint in my breakfast room

same blue paint in the dining room

and in the entrance hall

I had the backs of the bookcases painted the same blue I have all over the house, and I can't decide what I think.  Really I can't know until I put the shelves and items inside.  Anyway, that's what I've been busy with around here.  I'm keeping it short today as it's the 4th.  I'll have so much to share next week.  Happy July 4th, friends!  I hope you have a great day!!

I love the amount of bookcase space you have to work with and then merchandise! I love a great blue too...looking forward to seeing how you put it all together!

Oh, I just hate waiting for paint to dry. If the color is in so many areas of your home, it will look great!

Oh, it is going to be perfect, Jennifer. Can't wait to see!
Happy 4th.

I love the contrast of the blue behind the bookcase; have painted behind one of mine and will do the other soon!

Happy 4th and the blue & white porcelain is perfection!

I love the blue! And all the blue and white porcelain you have all over the house! Aak - I am in LOVE! I am hoping to hit Chinatown and get me some ginger jars for my makeover, could use a few to add pops of blue to match my new artwork :)

Happy 4th!

Looking good! I have a similar color in my bedroom and I love it. I think it makes great sense and creates flow by using the color in several spaces.

Looks like a beautiful shade of blue. I think it will look great once it's all pulled together.

I think it'll look very pretty and fresh, and leave you lots of room to place bright objects, if you like.

After many years of having the back of my bookcases white (I'm not sure why I kept them white?) but one day I grabbed a sample can from the garage and painted them Wythe Blue...what a difference! Fun project for you :)

Love the blue for the bookshelf backs. This room will be fablous!

So funny....I used the exact picture torn from the magazine as inspiration for my bookshelf restyling a couple of years ago!! It came out great and I'm sure yours will be even better! I am a bit OCD with it and have mixed things up since...but it was featured on a friend's blog a little while back -
