McMillen Interior Design and Decoration

7.24.2014

I landed on the McMillen site after clicking through a pin of one of my favorite pinners, and was struck by the diversity of style in their portfolio.  This New York company has been around since the 1924.  I enjoyed looking through the images on the site as they've created many beautiful and interesting rooms.  Mostly, when I peruse an interior design portfolio, the rooms will all have a similar look.  Many designers have a "signature style" that's easily recognizable.  It was interesting to be on a site and see such variance.

I've just shared a fraction of what you can see on the McMillen site.  Go here to see more.

Amazing house!! What caught my eye were the banana leaves that adds so much life to any space...and the animal pattern which goes beautifully with the wallpaper and the furniture ;)

Jennifer I remember the first time I ever heard about Mc Millen Inc. Years ago I started reading Alexandra Stoddard books and in her early years as a desinger she worked for them when it was Mc Millen & Brown, under the mentorship of Mrs. Brown. So fun to see their work and the diversity of all of their designers. Fun post and I pinned away from their site! Happy Friday,
Kathysue

Take everything out of the hallway including the small framed pictures hanging there and on the stairway going up. Find a very large painting you Love! and hang it on the wall where the mirror is now. Put a minimal bench across from it. You will love that space for its simplicity and its functionality.

Beautiful items that you show. I shop on ebay every month. I have rarely had any problems and have had many transactions of buying and selling. It is a great place to shop for me. Blessings

So pretty. I painted my son's nursery a dark navy and it looks so fresh paired with white, tortoiseshell and a bright red bamboo dresser. It's so cozy in the winter.
