Blue and White Monday & Christmas

I just love this absolutely gorgeous table that Albertina, from Mimosa Lane created. Such an amazing mix of color, right? The blue and white plates you see are actually DIY.  I had no idea that there is such a thing as a porcelain paint pen?! Imagine the possibilities.

Isn't this incredible? You know how I love the blue and white, but I just am dying over the peonies. Albertina told me she found them at Whole Foods. I had no idea peonies were available at this time of year. I'm almost wanting to make a Whole Foods run, BUT it's the week of Christmas.  They'd be horribly crowded, and I bet all of these beautiful blooms have been purchased.  If any of you Dallas readers see any left, please let me know!  I frequent the Lemon and the Forest locations : )

Go here to see Albertina sharing how to recreate the look of her spectacular table.

Can you imagine how excited I was to receive this beautiful image by email? Stephen Andrew Jones sent it, and he told me that I had inspired this beautiful tree that he decorated for his salon.  I'm so happy I could inspire his tree so that I can copy him next year : )  I love it! Go here to see Stephen's blog. He loves to cook and entertain. I recently read a fascinating post he wrote on sous vide cooking about which I was completely unfamiliar. Thank you so much, Stephen, for sharing your fantastic Christmas tree!

Thanks Jennifer for posting my table!! I'm so honored that you loved it. I also love this Christmas tree with all that pretty blue and white goodness below. I think you would have so much fun doing something like that next year. Wishing you a wonderful Holiday!

What a pleasant surprise to see this today! Thank you for including it! And for the inspiration. In my Christmas post partum depression last year, I came across your blog and read it all in like three days. All the blue and white with pink goodness. It totally inspired me for this year! That is, after all, the only way to get over the post Christmas blues: start planning next year!
Now--a PORCELAIN PEN? I have wanted to do my own china forever! But wasn't sure the best way to go about it. I am totally going to try this. Merry Christmas! And do try the sous vide if you're on the fence. It is truly life changing if you're someone who cooks. Be that someone who loves to cook or hates to cook :)
