Lighten Up

And by that I mean that I'm considering lightening up around my house.  With white paint.  Here, I shared about the pale blueish-gray color I have in lots of my house.  I've always been drawn to rooms with white walls, and lately I'm really starting to want them at home.  Here are some examples of how great they look with various styles.

What are your thoughts?  Yay or nay to white walls?

Happy Friday!

Go for it. Every time I've painted a room white I've been thrilled with the result.

I had planned to paint our newly renovated house with a soft grey, but instead took Benjamin Moore Oxford White through the entire space. I LOVE IT. With darker wood floors and dark hardware on the white panel doors it looks striking.

Oxford White is a nice white colour that doesn't look blue or yellow. It holds strong in any type of lighting. That's why I choose it. And it looks great with my grey accents....

I love white walls -- they make the abstract art I create really pop!

I have a candy apple green entertainment center. It looks fabulous against my white walls! I have my collection of vintage aqua/turquoise pottery displayed in it and I love it. 😍

I also have a large ornate mirror I bought from a thrift shop that I painted the most yummy color of peachy pink that looks great against my white walls. 😉

I'd say I'm sole on white walls ☺️

I say listen to your heart. You love being in your daughter's new space. That tells you you like being in a white room.

I have white walls in all rooms except my living room. The ceilings in white rooms are SW Dewey which is close to your signature blue with a touch more green. Love the vibe it adds. Ceilings look different in each room due to different exposures of natural light. The white walls allows all color in fabrics to really pop + black interior doors work great with it. Go for it!

Yay for me always loved them, you can do almost anything beyond that and they always make a room feel bright and crisp.
I have to figure out why you are not updating on my blogroll......I realized I had not seen a new post from you in a while. Have a great weekend!

Love the freshness of it!

DO it! I painted my dining room white when we moved just to get rid of the paint color that was there. A Color indecisive moment that has left me feeling very peaceful and happy!!
